A night to celebrate and appreciate!

For 25 years, we have had the pleasure of inspiring and entertaining Cologne audiences with the greatest authors, the most sensational stage artists, the most captivating actors and the most evocative musicians. And the audience, without a doubt, is one of a kind! And that is why tonight, to mark the 25th anniversary of lit.COLOGNE, we are celebrating everything that was, that is, and that will be. And we want to say thank you. Thanks for listening and reading, for laughing and clapping, for trusting and encouraging. Olli Dittrich, Sibel Kekilli and Hans Sigl will read the nicest thank-you letters and other texts that highlight what makes us feel grateful, inspired and richly rewarded. Tilda Swinton bows before David Bowie and Virginia Woolf gives thanks to her husband. Oliver Sacks expresses gratitude for this entire rich life and Thomas Mann agrees.
