About Adriana Altaras
Born in 1960 in Zagreb, Adriana Altaras moved to Italy in 1964 and later to Germany. She studied acting in Berlin and New York, appeared in film and television productions and has been a producer at theaters and opera houses since the 1990s. She has received numerous accolades for her acting, including the German Film Award, the Theater Prize of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. Her best-selling novel “Tito’s Glasses” was published in 2012, followed in 2014 by “Doitscha – A Jewish Mother Tells All” and in 2017 by “The Sea and I Were in Our Prime” Adriana Altaras lives with her family in Berlin.
