About Alexander Menden
Alexander Menden was born in Bonn in 1972. He studied English, German literature and philosophy in Bonn and Oxford. In Munich, Menden completed post-graduate studies in theater, film and television criticism. Since spring 2001, he has been a writer for the arts and culture and panorama sections of newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung. From 2004 until 2018, he was a culture correspondent in the UK. Alexander Menden was awarded the Journalism and Media Prize in 2017 by the German Association for the Study of English for his “Brexit column”.
