About Anja Laïs
Anja Laïs was born in Berlin in 1968 and studied acting at the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts in Munich. She has worked at Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam, GRIPS Theater in Berlin, Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, at Wiener Festwochen in Vienna, Bar jeder Vernunft in Berlin, Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna and at the Salzburg Festival. From 1998 until 2013, she was a permanent ensemble member at Schauspiel Köln. Since then, she has been performing at Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. She performed in several of Karin Beier’s productions and has collaborated with directors such as Michael Thalheimer, Karin Henkel, Günter Krämer, Jürgen Gosch, Herbert Fritsch, Sebastian Nübling and Nicolas Stemann. As well as her work on stage, she also regularly appears in film and television productions. She is currently an ensemble member at Schauspielhaus Hamburg and Staatsschauspiel in Dresden.
