About Anne Burgmer
Born in 1980, Anne Burgmer heads up the arts and culture section of the newspaper “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger”. She studied medieval and modern history, German literature and Scandinavian studies in Cologne and Uppsala, Sweden. As a journalist, she focuses on media reporting and literature. She is a member of the “information and culture” jury for the Grimme Award. At Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, she is responsible for the literature event “Ein Buch für die Stadt” [“One Book for the City”], which the newspaper has been putting on since 2003 in collaboration with Literaturhaus Köln.
