About Anne Enright
Born in Dublin in 1962, Anne Enright is one of the most important English-language authors of our time and was named the first Laureate for Irish Fiction in 2015. Her book “The Gathering” won many honors, including the 2007 Booker Prize, was translated into more than 30 languages and became a best seller worldwide. For the “The Forgotten Waltz” (2011) she won the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction. In 2015, “The Green Road” received the Irish Book Award for Book Club Novel of the Year and was short-listed for the International Dublin Literary Award. “Vogelkind” (2025), her eighth novel, was shortlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction and won the Writers' Prize for Fiction 2024.
