About Anneke Kim Sarnau

Anneke Kim Sarnau was born in Elmshorn and studied at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. She secured her first engagement at Burgtheater in Vienna. She then made other guest appearances at Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf and Hamburg. Her film debut came in 1998 in Stefan Krohmer’s “Barracuda Dancing”. She has won many awards for her starring roles in various productions, including the German Television Award and two Grimme Awards. Since 2010, Anneke Kim Sarnau has played the role of a profiler in the crime series “Polizeiruf 110”, set in Rostock. In 2020, she won the best actress honor for this role at the German Television Crime Show Festival in Wiesbaden.
