About Ari Rasilainen
Ari Rasilainen studied conducting in Helsinki and Berlin and is a trained violinist. He initially played violin in the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and from 1980 until 1986, he led the second violins at the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra. Simultaneously, he performed solo concerts and played in chamber music ensembles. Over the years, he has conducted renowned orchestras, including the Norwegian Radio Orchestra in Oslo. Since 2011, Rasilainen has been teaching orchestra conducting as a professor at the University of Music Würzburg.
