About Axel Milberg
Axel Milberg, born 1956 in Kiel, is an actor and audio book narrator. He initially studied literature and philosophy before enrolling in the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts to study acting. He was a member of the ensemble of the Munich Kammerspiels from 1982 to 1997. This was followed by numerous film productions, including “Sleeper” (1998), “Babiy Yar” (2003), “The International” (2008), “Hannah Arendt” (2012) and “Ruby Red” (2012). Among other roles, Axel Milberg is familiar to German television viewers as Commissar Borowski in the Kiel Tatort. He has also acted in productions such as “Stauffenberg” (2004), “Die Hebamme” (2013), “Letzte Ausfahrt Gera” (2015) and “Berlin Station” (2017). Axel Milberg has been honoured with numerous awards, including the Grimme Prize, the Bavarian Television Award, the North German Film Award and the Silver Lola. He lives with his family in Munich.
