About Campino
Campino (real name: Andreas Frege) was born in Düsseldorf in 1962. As the lead singer of Die Toten Hosen, he shaped the band with his voice, his live performances and especially his lyrics. Following in the footsteps of big names such as Helmut Schmidt, Juli Zeh, Wolf Biermann, Joschka Fischer, Joachim Gauck and Klaus-Maria Brandauer, he was the 2024 Heinrich Heine Visiting Professor at HHU in Düsseldorf.
