About Christian Berkel
Born in West Berlin in 1957, Christian Berkel is one of Germany’s most famous and renowned actors, thanks to his roles in the TV series “Der Kriminalist” and in international film productions such as Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Bastards” or “Elle” by Paul Verhoeven. Christian Berkel has been honored with the Bambi, the Golden Camera and the German Television Award, among others. As an audiobook narrator, he has won the Golden Disc and the German Audiobook Award. His novels “Der Apfelbaum” (2018) and “Ada” (2020) were hailed by critics and readers alike and both became Der Spiegel bestsellers. His new book “Sputnik” is being released in Germany on May 30, 2025.
