About Claus Leggewie
Claus Leggewie is professor of political science and director of the KWI in Essen, member of the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU) and, since 2012, Co-Director of the Käte Hamburger Kolleg/Centre for Global Cooperation Research at the University of Duisburg/Essen. He has held guest professorships in Paris-Nanterre and New York, and was a Fellow at the Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen in Vienna and the Institute for Advanced Study Berlin. Leggewie was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Theological Faculty of the University of Rostock. His most recent works include "Mut statt Wut. Aufbruch in eine neue Demokratie" and most recently “Die Konsultative. Mehr Demokratie durch Bürgerbeteiligung” (with Patrizia Nanz).
