About Colum McCann
Colum McCann was born in Dublin in 1965. He worked as a journalist, farmworker and teacher and traveled extensively through Asia, Europe and the United States. For his novels and short stories, McCann has won numerous literary honors, including the Hennessy Award and the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature. He became an international bestselling author with the novels “Dancer” (2003) and “Zoli” (2006). He won the National Book Award in 2009 for the novel “Let the Great World Spin”. He lives with his wife and three children in New York.
