About Eckart von Hirschhausen
Eckart von Hirschhausen, born in 1967, is a well-known German doctor and a successful non-fiction author. Hirschhausen combines medical content with humor and information about sustainability. For more than 20 years, he has toured all the major German stages as a comedian and presented several television shows. He is also an activist calling for climate policy based on medical and scientific knowledge, founder of the foundation “Healthy Planet - Healthy People” and a member of the “German Climate and Health Alliance”. He is an ambassador and advisory board member for organizations such as German Cancer Aid, the DFL [German Soccer League] Foundation and the Fit for Future Foundation. His own foundation, “Humor hilft Heilen” [“Humor Helps Healing”], promotes humanity in medicine. Since 2018, he has been an activist for scientifically substantiated climate policies, and in 2020 he created the “Gesunde Erde – gesunde Menschen” [“Healthy Earth – Healthy People”] foundation.
