About Fernando Aramburu
Fernando Aramburu was born in 1959 in San Sebastián in the Basque region and has lived in Hannover since the mid-1980s. Aramburu has won many awards for his novels, including the Premio Vargas Llosa, Premio Biblioteca Breve and the Premio Euskadi. For “Homeland” (2016), he was awarded the Premio Nacional de la Crítica 2017, the most prestigious Spanish literature prize, the Premio Nacional de Narrativa 2017, and the Premio Strega Europeo 2018. "Homeland” was filmed as an HBO series under the original Spanish title, “Patria”.
