About Florian Lukas

Born in Berlin, Florian Lukas began his career in the theater, which led to many roles in TV and movie productions. He gained fame with the box-office hit film “The Polar Bear”, directed by Til Schweiger. He won the Bavarian Film Award for Best Newcomer for his performances in Sönke Wortmann’s episodic movie, “St. Pauli Nacht” and in “Absolute Giants”, directed by Sebastian Schipper. In 2003, he won a Bambi and the German Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in “Good Bye, Lenin!” He then appeared in movies for the big and small screen as well as TV series, including “Liberated Zone”, “The Weissensee Saga” and “The Silent Revolution”. In addition to acting, Lukas has recorded a number of audiobooks.
