About Hape Kerkeling
Born in 1964 in Recklinghausen, Hape Kerkeling began working in television in 1984. His breakthrough came with the role of “Hannilein”. He followed this up with multiple successful live and TV appearances, such as “Känguru”, “Total Normal”, “Hape trifft” and “Let’s Dance”, playing Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, Uschi Blum and Horst Schlämmer, among others. The entertainer, singer, actor, presenter, satirist and author has won accolades such as the Golden Camera, the Adolf Grimme Award and the German Television Award. His book “I’m Off Then” was number one on the Der Spiegel best-seller list for a hundred weeks, and his children’s story “The Boy Needs to Get Some Fresh Air” was read by an audience of millions. His autobiographical book “Give Me Some Time” will be published in September.
