About Hinrich Schmidt-Henkel
Hinrich Schmidt-Henkel lives in Berlin. He has been translating since 1987, primarily from French and Norwegian, including works by Lars Mytting, Jon Fosse, Édouard Louis and L.-F. Céline. He has won several honors, including the Paul Celan Prize, the Straelener Translation Prize and the Kongelig Norsk Fortjenestorden. He is also a presenter and voice artist and writes for the culture magazine program “Karambolage” broadcast on ARTE.
