About Jasmin Tabatabai
Jasmin Tabatabai was born in Iran in 1967 to a German mother and Persian father. She spent her early years in Tehran and moved with her family to Germany in 1978. She studied acting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. The 1997 road movie “Bandits”, for which she wrote much of the soundtrack, was her acting breakthrough and won the Bavarian Film Award. She subsequently appeared in numerous hit TV and film roles. Since 2012 she is a permanent member of the cast of the ZDF television series “Disappeared - The M.P.U.”. She also continues her music career and in 2016 released the album “Was sagt man zu den Menschen, wenn man traurig ist?”.
