About Joachim Król
Joachim Król, born 1959 in Herne, studied acting at the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts in Munich. The film “Maybe... Maybe Not” (1994) established him as one of Germany’s most successful and popular actors. Joachim Król has been honoured with numerous awards, such as the German Film Award for best male actor for “No More Mr. Nice Guy” (1993) and “Maybe... Maybe Not” (1994). He subsequently worked with well-known German and international directors. Television roles include Donna Leon’s Commissario Brunetti, Tatort inspector Steier and Chief Inspector Alex Lutter. In addition to his numerous film and television appearances, Joachim Król is currently appearing in German theatres together with the Orchestre du Soleil, where he reads from such works as Baricco’s "Seide" and Camus’s "The First Man".
