About Julia Schoch
Julia Schoch, who was born in 1974 in Bad Saarow and grew up in Eggesin in Mecklenburg, is considered a “virtuoso of memory storytelling” (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung). Her most recent works are the novels “The Incident” (2022) and “The Couple of the Century” (2023), which are the first two parts of her “Biography of a Woman” trilogy. In 2022, she received the German Schiller Foundation Award, in 2023 the City of Aalen’s Schubart Literature Prize and in 2024 the Mainzer Stadtschreiber Literature Award. Schoch lives in Potsdam.
