About Karen Krüger
Karen Krüger, born in 1975, grew up in Waldshut-Tiengen in Baden and in Istanbul. She studied history, sociology and Romance studies and literature in Bielefeld, Berlin and Bordeaux. She has spent extended research periods in Africa and has published several articles on the Rwandan genocide. In 2015, she published her book “Bosporus Reloaded. Turkey in Transition” and “A Journey through Islamic Germany” in 2016. In 2008, she became an editor in the features section of the FAZ and moved to the features section of the FAS in Berlin in 2012. Since 2020, she has been reporting on cultural life in Italy from Milan.
