About Kat Frankie
Kat Frankie has long been considered an outstanding artist with a knack for combining the bombastic with tenderness and goose bumps. The Australian artist and producer has lived in Berlin since 2005. After years of tours, collaboration with artists such as Clueso, Casper and Get Well Soon (with whom she co-produced the soundtrack to the short-lived talk show “Schulz & Böhmermann”), Frankie was nominated last year in the Best Producer category of the German Pop Culture Prize for her album “Shiny Things”. With her pioneering vocal ensemble, B O D I E S, Frankie has played sold-out shows in venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic and the Elbphilarmonie in Hamburg. As a solo artist, she uses guitar and a loop station to underpin her vocals, creating a unique and moving sound.
