About Langston Uibel
Langston Uibel has become internationally known with his roles in numerous Netflix series. He played one of the starring roles in the film “Afire”, directed by Christian Petzold, which won the Silver Bear at the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival. That same year, Uibel was recognized as one of the promising talents at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. He won the Jupiter Award in 2024 and celebrated his theatrical debut in “A Midsummer Night's Dream” at the Burgtheater in Vienna. He is currently filming the second season of “Hijack” for Apple TV+ in London. Uibel narrated the German-language audiobook of JJ Bola’s “Mask Off: Masculinity Redefined” and has performed readings of the works of Felwine Sarr and Tsitsi Dangarembga.
