About Laurent Binet
Laurent Binet was born in 1972 in Paris and studied history in Prague. His first novel “HHhH” won the 2010 Prix Goncourt du Premier Roman and was named as one of the 100 best books of 2012 by the New York Times. “The 7th Function of Language” (2017) was a huge bestseller in France and was awarded the Prix Interallié and the Prix du Roman Fnac. Binet received the Grand Prix de l’Académie française for “Civilizations”. “Perspective(s)” (2025) won the Prix Naissance d’une œuvre and the Prix du roman historique. Laurent Binet lives in Paris.
