About Lena Gorelik
Lena Gorelik was born in St. Petersburg in 1981 and came to Germany with her parents in 1992. After training at the German School of Journalism in Munich, she completed a degree in Eastern European studies. In addition to novels such as “The Collector of Lists” (2013), “More Black Than Purple” (2017) and “Who We Are” (2021), she writes theatrical and audio plays as well as editorials about social topics for publications such as Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die Zeit. She has won various prizes for her writing, including most recently the Heinrich Mann Prize for essay-writing (2024), and she was nominated for the German Book Prize.
