About Maja Lunde
Born in 1975 in Oslo, Maja Lunde initially wrote books for children and teens before she became an international sensation with her book “The History of Bees” (2015). That work spent months at the top of the Der Spiegel bestseller list and was Germany’s top-selling book of 2017. She followed it up with “The End of the Ocean” (2017), “The Last Wild Horses” (2019) and “The Dream of a Tree” (2024), the final volume of her literary “climate quartet”. Together with well-known illustrator Lisa Aisato, she has also published successful all-ages books such as “The Snow Sister”, “Lily and the Sun Keeper” and “The Windmaker”.
