About Maria-Christina Piwowarski
Maria-Christina Piwowarski worked at the Berlin bookshop “ocelot” for 10 years, serving as the store’s manager for five of those years. She is active on Instagram exploring all literature-related topics and has co-hosted the literary podcast “blauschwarzberlin” with Ludwig Lohmann since 2019. She was a member of the jury for the German Book Prize in 2020, helped select the Hotlist of independently published books in 2021, and served on the jury for the Bücherfrauen Literature Prize in 2023. She regularly appears on radio to discuss books, hosts readings and events in the cultural sector and sends out a monthly literature newsletter.
