About Mariele Millowitsch
Mariele Millowitsch was born in Cologne in 1955 and studied veterinary medicine in Munich. She subsequently joined the ensemble of the Kom(m)ödchen in Düsseldorf and had various theater engagements. She obtained her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1991, but decided to pursue acting instead. She gained popularity with her role in the series “girl friends” and her starring role in the sitcom “Nikola”, for which she won numerous awards. She also had leading roles in many television movies. Since 2008, Mariele Millowitsch has played the title character in the ZDF series “Marie Brand” about a Cologne-based police investigator.
