About Martin Verg
Born in 1971, Martin Verg is a journalist and author. After more than 10 years as the editor in chief of the children’s magazine GEOlino, the trained historian now focuses mainly on his favorite type of writing: books for young readers, ranging from slightly crazy crime stories to non-fiction titles. His books reflects Verg’s own curiosity and wide range of interests – sometimes they are about nature or sustainability, sometimes about history, or sometimes about the mysteries of the everyday. Besides his writing, he occasionally appears on stage as a musician or an emcee, or heads into the studio to record a podcast. Martin Verg is a member of “Elbautoren”, a Hamburg-based network of authors of children’s and young adult fiction.
