About Oyindamola Alashe
Oyindamola Alashe was born in 1978 in the U.S. and works as a journalist and presenter. She is active in print and online media, has previously been an editor and writer for TV media and has been involved in research, PR and project management. The topics of inclusion, education, health, and care work are an essential part of her work. Oyindamola Alashe is the co-author of “Ich, ein Kind der kleinen Mehrheit” [“Me, the Child of a Small Majority”] (2022), in which activist Gianni Jovanovic tells his life story. In the book, they tackle the structural and centuries-long discrimination of the Roma and Sinti communities. As well as appearing in various empowerment and show formats under the heading “Kleine Mehrheiten” [“Small Majorities”], Alashe leads workshops and gives talks on discrimination-sensitive language and anti-racism.
