About Philipp Schwenke
Born in 1978, Philipp Schwenke is a journalist and author. He studied at the German Journalism School in Munich, was an editor and columnist for NEON magazine and has written for publications such as GQ, Die Zeit and Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin. He is currently chief editor of the business magazine Capital. His debut novel about Karl May’s first actual trip to the Orient, “The Flicker of Truth in the Desert Sky”, was published in 2018.
