About Steffen Kopetzky
Born in 1971, Steffen Kopetzky has written novels, short stories and audio and theatrical plays. His novel “Monschau” (2021), was on the Der Spiegel bestseller list for many months, as was “Risk” (2015), which was also long-listed for the German Book Prize. “Propaganda” (2019) was nominated for the Bavarian Book Award, and Kopetzky’s most recent publication is “Queen Sacrifice” (2023). He was artistic director of Biennale Theater Bonn from 2002 to 2008 and lives with his family in his birthplace, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm.
