About Ulrich Noethen
Ulrich Noethen was born in 1959. Following various theater engagements in Freiburg, Cologne and Berlin, he appeared in numerous German television and film productions. His work has won him numerous prizes, including the German and Bavarian Film Awards, the Golden Camera and the 2017 German Audio Book Award. The second season of the ARD TV show “Charité”, in which Ulrich Noethen plays surgeon Ferdinand Sauerbruch, began airing in spring 2019. He most recently filmed “Unterleuten” (2019), an adaptation of Juli Zeh’s best-selling novel.
