About Volker Weidermann
Volker Weidermann was born in Darmstadt in 1969 and studied political science and German literature in Heidelberg and Berlin. He was head of the arts and culture section of the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung. Since 2015, he has been a writer for Der Spiegel and a host of the program “Literarisches Quartett” on ZDF. Today he is a cultural correspondent for the ZEIT. His most recent book is “Mann vom Meer. Thomas Mann and the love of his life” (2023).
