Our times are shaped by crises and conflicts. The familiar geopolitical order is being realigned in the face of international conflicts, while anti-European politicians are grasping for power. Peace and prosperity in Europe are under greater threat than they have been since the Cold War. Our society is riven with feelings of powerlessness and uncertainty. We want to counter that with a constructive debate. Political scientist and expert on peace and conflict research Nicole Deitelhoff meets philosopher and journalist Michel Friedman and social scientist and expert on flight, migration and human rights Gerald Knaus (coming soon: “Welches Europa brauchen wir?” [“Which Europe Do We Need?”]). They talk about what future-looking European politics might look like in the face of foreign policy challenges – and how we can put humanity back at the forefront of our debates. Host: Isabel Schayani
