OffSpring Award 2025 – “Change” A competition for young writers. With Kaleb Erdmann and Anneke Kim Sarnau
We encounter change in many forms: whether it’s a change of heart, worries about climate change, or the discovery of our own changeability. The experience of growing up, in particular, involves constantly changing life circumstances. For the OffSpring Award 2025 we are looking for literary explorations of change: Interested young writers (16-26 years old) can submit their texts on the theme of “change” (maximum 10,000 characters including spaces) by January 5, 2025, to offspringaward@litcologne.de. Our expert jury will select three nominees who will work on their texts in a writing workshop with the professional support of author Kaleb Erdmann (“we are pioneers”). On stage at lit.COLOGNE, they will report on the writing workshop and Anneke Kim Sarnau will present their texts. The audience will then decide who wins the OffSpring Award 2025!
