Slurping and burping – the tasteless side of literary history with Samuel Finzi, Nina Kunzendorf und Jakob Hein
When literary characters eat and drink, table manners are often forgotten. Between the pea soup, the knife rest and the fifth glass of wine in an airplane, we show who we really are: not the finest animal on Earth but a chomping, bellowing, conniving creature. Here, the dining table becomes a disaster zone, the kitchen island a murder weapon, and a wine menu leads to adultery. What do you need when guests are still not chatting after three drinks? How much mustard can one person eat? And how do you behave when you accidentally find yourself drinking coffee with a dictator? The answers will be provided by Oskar Maria Graf, Doris Dörrie and Thomas Bernhard.
Nina Kunzendorf and Samuel Finzi along with psychotherapist and author Jakob Hein invite us to sit around the tables of literature, where odes are sung to sausage, bowel movements are counted, and food trends are lamented – but nobody is simply eating. Concept: Felix Lindner
