Audiobooks are cinema for the ears. They can enchant us or carry us away – with stories, sound and strong voices. At lit.COLOGNE, we will once again honor the best German productions that have been chosen for the renowned German Audiobook Prize. Prizes will be awarded not only to the best female and male narrators, but also best podcast, best radio play, best entertainment and best children’s audiobook. Cologne-based presenter and literature expert Marija Bakker will welcome the prizewinners at the WDR-Funkhaus and host the radio broadcast of the awards ceremony. All attention will be focused on the winners and their works. With readings and excerpts from the prize-winning works and talks with the award winners. The live show will be broadcast on many ARD culture-focused radio stations.
