Awakening, transformation and resonance – Jagoda Marinić & Michel Friedman
For years, Jagoda Marinić has been fighting for a more diverse society. In Sanfte Radikalität [“Gentle Radicalism”], she describes how it became possible to make her ideas a reality. Her 2013 novel Restaurant Dalmatia garnered rave reviews from the media and was far ahead of its time: Its themes included migration, integration and the different generations of “guest workers” in Germany – topics that are only now gaining resonance in the social discourse. That is why the book is now being reissued.
Journalist and philosopher Michel Friedman wrote the afterword to the new edition and will speak to the author about her highly topical texts.
